However, there are still many problems among staff’s interactions ignored by business owners in the workplace and the problems will likely bring a large effect to overall organization. The purpose of this study focused on investigating the relationship between abusive supervision and affective commitment. In addition, this study also explored the mediator of organization-based self-esteem and the moderator of self-control. In this study, a total of 560 questionnaires are distributed, and the effectively received rate is 83.9%. The results show that there was a significant negative relationship between abusive supervision and affective commitment. And the organization-based self-esteem has a partial mediating effect between the both. Furthermore, the relationship between abusive supervision and organization-based self-esteem is significant negative. And the self-control has a moderating effect between the both. The results of this study will fill the shortcomings of relevant academic research, as well as propose the related recommendations of management practices for human resources management.
