The feedback provided by the teachers and students after the outdoor teaching was surveyed in order to review the applicability of instruction, revise and improve the learning program. The subjects of this study were 43 third graders of Changhua County. The outdoor teaching was taken place in Taiwan Glass Gallery. Two homeroom teachers were the instructors of the learning program and the researchers of this study. The procedure of the learning program of the glass industry was the introduction of Taiwan Glass Gallery, glass manufacture, daily use, glass art and creation. Further the visit of Taiwan Glass Gallery and Taiwan Husheng Temple (the glass temple) was arranged to guide the students and provide the experiencing activities for the students. After researchers’ effect analysis of the accomplishment of students’ worksheets, the results of this study showed that the students acquired their industrial cognition effectively via the researchers’ instruction and the outdoor teaching of local industrial learning program. Students had known and learned the glass industry, manufacture, art, creation and daily use in this learning program. The learning process showed the significant effect of student’s cognition development and exploration. According to the results of this study, the learning program integrated by the outdoor teaching and industry instruction promoted student’s local industrial learning, characteristic industry understanding and learning interest.
