Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of situated-teaching on education for junior high school students in Kaohsiung City. This study employed quasi-experimental research, which experimented with two classes of students. One class was assigned as experiment group, while the other was assigned as controlled group. The experiment lasted for 14 weeks. Before this experiment, both classes took "Learning Attitude Scale" and "Achievement Test" as pretest. At the end of the experiment, both classes took "Learning Attitude Scale" and "Achievement Test" as post-test. Their final term scores were taken as post-test for students learning achievement scores. In addition to these quantitative data, the students’ feedback questionnaires were collected as a supplement to fully understand the effectiveness. Then the post-test data were analyzed by ANCOVA with pre-test score as a covariance. The major findings were as follows: (1) the experiment of situated-teaching showed no significant effect on learning attitude; (2) the experiment situated-teaching improved achievement performance significantly for the junior high school students; (3) situated-teaching enabled students with more learning interest and confidence; (4) situated-teaching enabled students to use correctly juridical knowledge in their daily lives. Finally, this researcher proposed some concrete proposals for civic education based on the findings.
