The research took teachers in the elementary schools of Pingtung County in 2014 as subjects. The research used self-made “questionnaires of teachers’ cognition and satisfaction of college students’ service learning” as research tool to take samples from 48 schools by stratified cluster sampling. There were 513 effective questionnaires returned. Finally, all the received data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, multiple stepwise regression analysis etc. The conclusions were as follows: 1.The status of teachers’ cognition of college students’ service learning for Pingtung County elementary school teachers were all above average. Among the four dimensions of cognition service learning , “equally importance” was predominated. The followings were “diversity”, “mutually benefit” and “learning by doing” . 2. The status of the satisfaction of service learning for Pingtung County elementary school teachers were all above the average. Among the four dimensions, the “knowledge application” was predominated; the followings were “process and result” , “times and content” and “Cooperation mode”. 3. Pingtung County Elementary school teachers have ideas about benefit of college students’ service learning :learn to cooperate、give a challenge and grow by myself, add to participate in community, watch over their learning in class to put in use. 4. Giving service to activities, Giving service to counselling and voluntary Labor are the main types to be need about service learning for the elementary School teachers in Pingtung County . 5. The requirements of elementary schools, attaching importance to college students’ service learning and are college students’ attitude and representation the items to enhance college students’ service learning in elementary school for the elementary school teachers in Pingtung County. 6. The teachers having the directive duties or the school of the villages and towns area or teachers with academic background of graduate school, or for a school size of more than 25 classes were more aware of the teachers’ cognition of college students’ service learning . 7. The male teachers, or the school of the villages and towns area or teaching in medium- scale or large- scale schools have more perceptive to the satisfaction of college students’ service learning . 8. The elementary school teachers in Pingtung County were more aware of the cognition of college students’ service learning and the high they perceptive of satisfaction of college students’ service learning . Especially the relation between “diversity” and “knowledge application” was the most significant. 9. Elementary schools teachers’ cognition of college students’ service learning in mutually benefit could effectively predict the satisfaction of college students’ service learning . Based on the research conclusions, the researcher provided some specific suggestions to the educational authorities, elementary schools, teachers and future researchers for references.
