The wetland water recharge velocity is very low Surface water source was controlled by the front gate in the Tungkang current river. The river water flows into the ancient river and thus forming an open wetland. Due to the ancient river has become an enclosed wetland by the water denial of the upstream gate, inducing surface water quality entrophication and productivity reduce in the ancient river. The accumulation of organic matter and then reduce the convection. The research is to take the investigated site from the downstream 2 km of the Gang-Dong second bridge at the ancient river as the study area. To find the wetland water source and groundwater change and then investigate the storage amount of change in this river. From the investigation results of the study, the water level fluctuation is not dramatic changed while rainfall in the ancient river. Instead of catchment rainfall and form recharge groundwater and then inflow to the ancient river, cause by the overall water level rise or fall. The water storage changes in the ancient river by water budget calculations are 279402, 326475, 362394, 332451, 298875, 328810, 607776, 399126 m3 separately occurred in the period of November to June.
