Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 教育研究所在職專班 === 103 === The Study on Public Preschool Teachers’ Perspectives of Disadvantaged Young Children Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore the preschool teachers’ perspectives of disadvantaged young children. This study adopted qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews with fifth public preschool teachers. The result of research showed that the public preschool teachers accepted the disadvantaged young children into their classroom because of inclusive policy, however, they viewed this policy would exclude others enrollment. Some of the public preschool teachers thought that disadvantaged children would have successful academic achievement if their families could provide support. The teachers believed to select age appropriate material, arrange learning environment, apply cooperative learning, and communicate with parents would enhance disadvantaged young children’s learning. Based on the research result, some suggestions are provided for future research. Keywords: public preschool, preschool teacher, disadvantaged young children
