The TCM companies strive to use the competitive strategies to sustain the market value. Owing to the characteristics of long research and development cycles and high risk, TCM occupies market shares. The study is aimed at collecting the literatures in the field of TCM, intellectual property, and university and industry collaboration. Based on the primary and secondary data, the study forms two kinds of case studies. The research methodology is novel, testable, and empirical valid. Based on aforementioned, the finding also reveal the importance of law regulation on the TCM industry. It enables the TCM product to find its own competitive advantage in the market. In conclusion, intellectual property ,university and industry collaboration are important indicator for developing the TCM industry.
