Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 企業管理學系研究所 === 104 === This study aims to explore the impact of Instant Messaging (IM)on employee behavior. The study particularly investigates whether the use of IM will result in employee empowerment and consequently affect employee behavior. The survey endeavors to better understand the relationship between "IM Use Intensity", "employee empowerment", "job satisfaction", "job performance" and "organizational commitment".
In this study, we collect 269 valid samples by conducting convenience sampling method. The objects of study are individuals who are using Instant Messaging at work in Taiwan. The data is analyzed with structural equation modeling. According to the results of statistical analysis, we find that the use of IM at work would empower employees, further to improve the job satisfaction as well as job performance. This article will present academic and administrative implications for the study and an in-depth discussion.
