In this study, we collect 269 valid samples by conducting convenience sampling method. The objects of study are individuals who are using Instant Messaging at work in Taiwan. The data is analyzed with structural equation modeling. According to the results of statistical analysis, we find that the use of IM at work would empower employees, further to improve the job satisfaction as well as job performance.
