In recent years, it brings great changes with the scientific and technological progress and development of the Internet in the bookstores and books . The price-oriented Internet bookstores become popular and the trend of E-books changes people’s reading habits. Both of phenomenon make traditional bookstores facing with the dilemma on business, that’s why they have to make appropriate transition to survive. The study was carried out by case study methods. It collected and analyzed the relevant literatures with the publishing trends reports and statistical data. Also, the study provide a method for different types of bookstores to make appropriate solutions. The results found that the traditional bookstores cannot survive only by selling books. Transformation must step on the road and the final focus is still returning to the consumers. The study finds that their competitive advantage and provides the appropriate products or services to continue managing efficiently.
