Summary: | 碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 104 === The result of the first Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students in 2014 is that more than 33.73% of the students’ English needs to be improved. The Ministry of Education tries plenty of remedial instructions to narrow the gap of the learning effectiveness; however, it is getting worse. Thus, it is necessary to find out the factors which affect the remedial teaching effectiveness.
This study adopts both Delphi and Analytic Hierarchy Process to explore the structure and weight of key successful factors to discuss the key factors of the effectiveness of English remedial instructionsthrough30 experts related to English teaching in Kaohsiung and Pintung. The result will establish a model to enhance the effectiveness of English remedial teaching for junior high school students and offer the educational institutions to carry out the instructions.
The result of this research showed the crucial five key factors are “learning motivation”, “learning attitude”, “teaching method”, “teaching strategy”, and “course design”. According to the research findings, the key factors base on the learners themselves; especially the learning motivations and learning attitudes. Therefore, the immediate concern is to stimulate students’ motivations and establish their correct learning attitudes. As for the teachers, they have to implement multiple English teaching approaches and course designs to draw students’ attention and further to increase their learning motivations and interests. Also, it will be helpful to promote students’ learning efficiency.
