This study is expected to help promote the professional development of educators, encourage their reflection upon teaching conduct, and foster their professional growth. This 20-week-long study conducts quantitative analysis on diverse data using a t-test and triangulation techniques. To enhance the effectiveness of the study, for the curriculum under discussion, the authors designed the teaching materials and plans based on previously compiled information; taught; and collected data in various forms such as teaching video recordings, classroom observation reports, reflective teaching journals, learning sheets, teacher rating scales, student self-assessment forms, and parents' feedback. The study’s results are summarized as follows: First, the “tea-serving” course’s curriculum design is statistically significant in the t-test, and therefore helps amplify the teaching effect of the core value “modest and polite” in character education. Second, the “tea-serving” course’s curriculum design is statistically significant in the t-test, and therefore helps amplify the teaching effect of the core value “filial to parents and respectful to the aged” in character education. Lastly, the “tea-serving” course’s curriculum design is statistically significant in the t-test, and therefore helps amplify the teaching effect of the core value “caring and charitable” in character education. Based on the conclusions of the research, this study offers specific recommendations at the end, as a reference for educators, parents, and future researchers.
