Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 光電與通訊工程學系 === 106 === Abstract The plants do photosynthesis by photosynthetic pigments. Recently, many studies found out that fungi also have the light receiver, which absorbs light energy and do some physiological reactions. Yeast has been used in bread fermentation and wine technology for a long time. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the first fungus to be completely sequenced, the cell growths fast. Therefore, the Saccharomyces cerevisiae is often used as a model organism in research. In this research, we study how the light affects the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The Saccharomyces cerevisiae was placed in YPD and grows in a 28-degree-temperature and 26-%-humidity incubator. We define the GRD value by comparing the colony area of yeast in three illumination environments and no illumination environment. When the GRD value is >0%, it has the effect of promoting the growth of yeast, otherwise, it is suppressed. We analyzed the illumination environments of 0 lux~900 lux red light and 0 lux~450 lux green light. The red light of 150 lux has a -13% GRD value suppressing the yeast, while the 300 lux one has 13% GRD slightly increasing the growth.Furthermore , 26% GRD of the 450 lux red light has an obvious promotion of growth. Meanwhile, the red light of 600 lux has almost no effect on the yeast for only 5% of the GRD ,and 750 lux red light has a 15% GRD value but only 5% left after 60 hours. Then, the red light of 900 lux has a 25% GRD value, which also has a significant increment on the yeast. In addition the green light of 150 lux has a -20% GRD value suppressing the yeast, while the 300 lux one has 16% GRD slightly increasing the growth.Furthermore , 31% GRD of the 450 lux green light has an obvious promotion of growth.
