Socio-economic status was used as independent variable,self-efficacy and achievement motivation were used as mediator variable, and scientific literacy was used as dependent variable to build a model in this study. The data were collected from the database of PISA 2015 created by OECD, the available samples were 6,614, and analyzed by the methods of descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling(SEM). The conclusions of this study were summarized as followings:1. Students’ socio-economic status has positive effect on self-efficacy, achievement motivation, and scientific literacy. 2. Students’ self-efficacy has positive effect on achievement motivation and scientific literacy. 3. Students’ achievement motivation has positive effect on scientific literacy. 4. The positive effect of students’ socio-economic status on scientific literacy could mediated by self-efficacy and achievement motivation; The positive effect of students’ self-efficacy on scientific literacy could mediated by achievement motivation. Suggestions were made based on the conclusions above to serve as reference for authorities, school educators, parents,students, and future researches.
