The method used in the study is a single-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The subjects were 9 students whose ages range from 12 to 13 years old and the study was conducted in a cram school in Yun-Lin County. The scores of the listening comprehension tests were analyzed using Paired Samples t-tests to explore the progress in listening after the intervention and One-Way ANOVA to investigate the gender difference in listening progress. The opinion survey and the interview transcripts were collected by using semi-structure interview. The result of the study showed that the use of English language pop songs had a significant effect on students’ listening comprehension and their attitudes toward English song instruction were positive. Students’ opinions were identified.
