Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 107 === The study describes a practice research that was designed to investigate and explore the effect of Reader Theater strategies on vocational high school students’ English learning motivation and learning performance. Reader Theater, a performing strategy of a play or a show, was implemented in the study. A class of 34 female vocational high school sophomore students in Taipei City was selected to be the participants of the study. The duration of the study is 8 weeks long. The outcomes were collected through teacher observation, examinations in English, and Second Language Motivation Survey, which was developed under AMTB model and the theory of group­specific motivational components. The results and findings of this study are as follows: 1. The learning motivation improved after using RT strategy. 2. The learning performance improved after using RT strategy.
