| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 107 === The study describes a practice research that was designed to investigate and explore the effect of Reader Theater strategies on vocational high school students’ English learning motivation and learning performance. Reader Theater, a performing strategy of a play or a show, was implemented in the study. A class of 34 female vocational high school sophomore students in Taipei City was selected to be the participants of the study. The duration of the study is 8 weeks long. The outcomes were collected through teacher observation, examinations in English, and Second Language Motivation Survey, which was developed under AMTB model and the theory of groupspecific motivational components. The results and findings of this study are as follows:
1. The learning motivation improved after using RT strategy.
2. The learning performance improved after using RT strategy.
