Very high-rejection optical fibre filters
An optical filter has been developed using holmium-doped optical fibre. Transmission in the blocking band is 10<sup>-7</sup> % while transmission in the passband is 85%. The wavelength separation between maximum blocking and maximum pass is only 40 nm.
