It aims to explore how this concept is introduced at educational institutions and to analyze the representations and practices of teachers. The research methodology is based on an extended investigation involving 147 volunteer Tunisian teachers. The results showed that the educational approach is devaluated in favor of the notional and biological ones with an apparent dominance of the biomedical model of health. The restructuration of the nutritional education field, in the Tunisian curriculum, that adequately incorporates food and health poles becomes necessary. Such reform seeks to enrich the field of health education and to catalyze social change towards a healthy and responsible eating behavior, beyond a biomedical model of prevention / protection.http://journals.openedition.org/questionsvives/2126nutritionnutrition educationhealthprimary school teachersTunisiaactivity analysis
