The target student, an art-talented student with Asperger's syndrome, was enrolled in a middle school and was well-adjusted. Data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews with the target student and his significant others. Related documents were also collected for the purpose of triangulation. A content analysis procedure was adopted to analyze the data. The major findings were as follows: (1) the target student showed a positive attitude toward his own disability and was able to develop his talent, which resulted in his positive self-concept, especially in the academic self-concept; (2) the interactions between his giftedness and disability had few negative influences on his self-concept; (3) the acceptance and support from significant others as well as one’s own acceptance might have impacts on developing the positive self-concept of the target student. 詹孟琦 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 187 zh-TW
